Easter looked very different this year in our home and in the homes of most families. With the stay at home orders many of us celebrated in unconventional ways.

We watched our church service from the couch.

We took communion with juice and bread from our own kitchen.

We didn’t have to shower before worship or dress up in our usual Easter dresses and ties.

We tried our hand at baking our own ham or perhaps had some Easter chili this year.

We gathered what we could find to fill Easter baskets and that may have included toilet paper and Lysol this year.

We stayed at home and celebrated with those we love at a distance either by phone or virtual calls while social distancing.

Whatever it was for you, I can just about guarantee that your Easter was different this year than it has been before.

We hope that these weekly Brain Smart Starts are helping you find some sense of normalcy with your young child. We look forward to sharing them with you every Monday and our hope is that they are giving you something to look forward to as well.

This week, we are sharing several “bunny” themed activities since we are coming off of Easter week and spring is in full swing!

You can find the download with the words for the song and activities here.

As a part of our commitments this week we are going to make a Wish Well board. You can do that by writing on a piece of paper, using sticky notes, or a dry erase board. There are some helpful tips and free resources over on the Conscious Discipline website for how to make a Wish Well board at home.

If you would like to print out the commitments for this week to hand on your refrigerator as a visual reminder you can find the link to the commitments by clicking here.

Hope you have a “hoppy” week! We are wishing you all well!
